Over three days, four teams - the Falcons, Hawks, Eagles and Knights - will compete in a round-robin tournament. The final will take place on December 24, where the two best teams will compete.
Days 1-3 will have 2 matches per day, with each tie consisting of Men’s singles, Women’s singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles. The finals will be held on Day 4, between the Top 2 teams.
For all tennis fans, it's time to get ready for an unforgettable show on Yas Island. The World Tennis League (WTL) has entered into an agreement with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Abu Dhabi's experiential brand Miral. The next three seasons of the tournament will be held on Yas Island.
The second season of this unique 'greatest show on court' tournament will take place at the Etihad Arena from 21 to 24 December. This event promises an unforgettable experience for tennis and music lovers. The Falcons, Hawks, Eagles and Knights will compete over three days in a round-robin format. On Christmas Eve, the top two teams will compete for the gold award by presenting putts, throws and tweeners.
Last year, the tournament featured 18 of the world's greatest tennis players, including Grand Slam star Novak Djokovic. Off-court entertainment also took place, attracting stars from around the world, including Deadmau5 and Armin van Buuren.
The tournament's sporting format provides the opportunity for top tennis players to gain valuable practice during the usually short off-season. This strengthens Abu Dhabi's position as a regional hub for global sport. Emarat has achieved enormous success in sports such as tennis, Formula 1, football, basketball, cricket and UFC. This year will also feature UFC 294, the IMMAF World Youth Championships, the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the NBA Abu Dhabi Games. All this offers various entertainment opportunities for local residents and visitors.
