David Michael Farrell, better known as Phoenix, is a talented bass guitarist who is a member of the legendary American rock band Linkin Park. His mother, who became his first guitar teacher, continues to inspire David to new musical achievements. His older brother, Joe, also had a significant influence on his passion for music.

After moving to California, Farrell began his musical career in the pop-punk band Tasty Snax, which later changed its name to The Snax. It was during this period that he switched from guitar to bass guitar. David soon joined the band Xero, which eventually transformed into Hybrid Theory and then became world famous under the name Linkin Park.

In addition to musical talent, David also has a good education: he graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles. During his college years, he shared an apartment with Brad Delson, another member of Linkin Park, and they often rehearsed together.

Phoenix is known for his skill on various instruments, including the violin, but he especially favors 4- and 5-string Ernie Ball Sting Ray bass guitars and uses SWR Amplifiers. He actively participated in the creation of the album "Hybrid Theory", which brought the band worldwide popularity.
